where did me go?

In Nathaniel's version of hide and seek, he runs behind a tree and loudly shouts, "Where did me go?"

It does not do much for the hiding portion of the game, but we find it adorable, especially when followed thirty seconds later by an enthusiastic "Here's me!" as he jumps out from behind the tree. It makes for easy seeking; I encourage this version of the game.

So, here's me. I apologize for dropping off with no notice. I found myself entirely constrained by the externship after spring break, even with permission. I was afraid I'd post something like "I like peapods!" and then find the next day that the Pod People of America were suing Peapods, Inc. for wage and hour violations or something like that. I know that Judge Posner blogs, and my judge did give me permission, but still, I found myself stymied for topics.  My externship has ended, however, and now I feel unconstrained, at least as unconstrained as I ever get here.

The past few weeks have been hectic and unexpectedly sad. Hectic, because I'm wrapping up law school, we finalized Nathaniel's preschool for next fall, I finished the externship and, oh, I almost forgot: I had my last law school class. It was anticlimatic. One moment I was in law school going to class and the next moment I wasn't and that was that. Al fine.

Sad, because our beloved older cat Maggie died. I will have to write more about that. It was heartbreaking watching Nathaniel struggle with the idea of the permanence of death, especially of the cat that tolerated his toddler love the most. In the abstract I think it's a good thing for him to see it in such a peaceful way, but ooof, the reality. It was hard.

And now, I'm gearing up for my very last exam, Corporations. Hard to believe.

1) Welcome back!
2) Good luck on corporations.
3) Congrats on being almost-done!

Welcome back. As a fellow cat Mommy I'm sorry to hear about the death in the family. Congratulations on finishing your last class. Soon law school will be over, strange thought huh?

Who'd have thunk it'd be over just like that. Sorry about your cat. Corporations will be a piece of cake after that. :)

It will be so weird to have law school over. What *will* you do with your time? ;)

BTW, I sent you an email a couple of months ago but never got a reply. Is your email still working? :)
